Apple has unveiled the M6 chip, marking the company's first transition to a 2nm process and introducing a design with three distinct CPU core types. Compared to the previous M5 chip, the M6 offers notable enhancements, including up to 1.2x faster multithreaded CPU performance and nearly 30% increased peak GPU compute for AI applications. The chip is also designed to improve neural processing capabilities and graphics rendering efficiency significantly.
